- yearn.finance is a decentralized organization and protocol with the goal of (sustainably) maximizing yields for its users. Users can deposit funds such as ETH, DAI, USDC, yCRV, and others into Vaults that follow interest-bearing strategies.
- From mid-July on, the protocol has seen explosive growth with total value locked growing from under $10 million to nearly $1 billion. The most popular Vault today is yCRV, which holds $268 million in user funds.
- YFI token holders are responsible for the continued development of the protocol, and founder Andre Cronje believes that the project has grown to the point where it would survive without him.
